Scope creep is not simply “work outside the contract.” It is delivery capacity committed without an explicit choice about price, priority, or trade-off. Some flexibility is commercially sensible. The problem is invisible flexibility.
Do not invoice the calculator
The result is a diagnostic, not a bill. Use it to identify which accounts deserve a closer review, then inspect the actual scope, request trail, time records and relationship context.
Find the decision point
Look for the moment an account manager or delivery lead agreed to the extra. If that decision happened before anyone checked scope, the process—not the client—is the first thing to fix.
